Abstract

Living creatures' assumed rights (especially referred to those beings with a nervous system closely related to man's) cannot be discussed either on emotional grounds or outside the current ethological framework. The approach adopted here on has much to do with the 'new' market economics (Becker) and little to do with the 'new' ecological economics (Georgescu). Inferred ethical and political considerations are contemplated from a naturalistic viewpoint akin to current biological knowledge.
