Abstract

The most popular and even famous phrase attributed to the Danish philosopher and theologian Søren Kierkegaard is the so called "leap of faith. It is meant to express the conviction, that knowledge cannot grasp the highest truth, but has to be superseded by radically underived religious commitment, namely the passion Kierkegaard calls faith.
