Abstract
That the reference of terms does not change just because the theory in which they are used had changed is a solid view in Putnam's thought. In this sense Putnam's views are obviously confronted with Kuhn's incommensurability thesis. Then Fernandez Moreno taking up this confrontation offers a critical analysis of Putnam's causal theory of reference to defend Kuhn's thesis. My aim is to show that his analysis is doubly wrong.
