De la paz perpetua al constitucionalismo cosmopolita

Right now, the project of modernity is being harassed by critical voices claiming for its exhaustion or, even, its decease. This philosophical debate opposes to the legacy of modernity an alternative thought built on the refusal of the more esteemed principles of modernity itself. In this critical moment, the second centenary of Kant’s decease appears as a great occasion in order to look back to the impressive Kantian thought, the more complete expression of philosophical discourse of the Enlightenment. From this view, there is a link between the cosmopolitan ideal of perpetual peace and the cosmopolitan constitutionalism of the globalisation age.
