Abstract
In 1804 Kant died and, just a few months later, Feuerbach was born. The second centennial celebration of both dates provides a natural opportunity to study their most
important common views and also their disagreements. In this paper a study is presented of the clear roots of Feuerbach’s thought in Kant’s philosophy, as well as the
critique that Feuerbach applies to Kant both from the “theoretical” and the “practical” viewpoint. It will be shown that Feuerbach’s position differs from Kant’s most
strongly in the area of practical morality.
